ONCA OBJECTIVES The Optimal Nutritional Care for All campaign (ONCA) is coordinated by the European Nutrition for Health Alliance. Key objective is to inspire and facilitate participating countries to implement Optimal Nutritional Care for All by 2020. ENHA supports national multi-stakeholder alliances (public private partnership) to collaborate with the national government and benchmark current state of play of national nutritional care programmes. The ONCA programme supports the implementation of the agreed strategy, country-tailored activities and share best practices. Measures of progress and in-country impact per year are defined and deployed. Moreover we align and leverage the programme with key stakeholders and international organisations like the EU and WHO EURO. ONCA ADDED VALUE ONCA adds value such that every ONCA activity, national and European, contributes to improved health, prevention and health care for all European citizens. ONCA supports making nutritional care an integral part of health and health care. For participating countries and national societies ONCA creates a Learning by doing community, creating continuous innovation in nutrition and nutritional care. PORTUGAL´S POTENTIAL ROLE IN ONCA We are very happy that Portugal steps in with strong leadership to drive the national campaign successfully. Portuguese key opinion leaders also contribute to further developing the European strategy and activities through their active roles in international societies. Frank de Man
